Campus Ambassador Program

About Us:

VamosA is an international training program for aspiring entrepreneurs. We travel with university students and young professionals to startup hubs in Latin America to learn from international experts how to build, test, and market new products.

We are based in Washington, D.C. and looking to expand our presence across university campuses in DC and other cities by working with entrepreneurial-minded students who are passionate about Latin America.

What is the VamosA Campus Ambassador Program?

If you are passionate about supporting entrepreneurship in Latin America, have thought about someday starting your own company, and are gifted with social media – this position may be perfect for you.

The VamosA Campus Ambassador Program is an opportunity to actively support the development of the entrepreneurship sector in Latin America and to empower your fellow students to become business-owners.

What Does an Ambassador Do?

  • Spread the word about VamosA programs on campuses in your city (info sessions, flyers, emails etc.)
  • Connect with potential participants (online and in person) to promote VamosA and boost awareness
  • Recruit students for Summer 2017 programs by meeting with students one-on-one, hosting informational sessions for small groups
  • Conduct participant interviews—remotely and in person—with potential participants 
  • Share important updates and opportunities on social media
  • Maintain relationships with university departments and clubs with similar interests and values
  • Serve as liaison between student body and VamosA team to help us improve and better meet student needs
  • Contribute blog content and other marketing materials for VamosA website
  • Recruit 15 students from your city to participate in our programs in 2018

Campus Ambassadors may work remotely and at flexible hours in order to accommodate their academic schedules, but they must also be committed to contributing regularly to recruitment efforts on campus.

What are we looking for in an ideal candidate?

  • Must be a sophomore or junior currently enrolled in university
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with a strong social network, both online and offline
  • A passion for travel, education, and entrepreneurship
  • A belief and desire to promote innovation through cross-cultural experiences abroad
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on execution
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English
  • Ability to work remotely and independently without supervision
  • Strong work ethic and ability to balance schoolwork and extracurricular assignments
  • Passion for Latin America and international entrepreneurship
  • Spanish fluency is a plus but not required
  • Experience traveling in Latin America is a plus but not required
